Shots in the Dark was born in Rome in 1999 with the aim of rediscovering the sound of the ska & rocksteady fundamentals magazine in modern style and influenced above all by the early reggae and soul and r & b sounds.
In 2002, after a series of lucky concerts throughout the Italian peninsula, the Shots in the Dark was strong in the desire to concretize their efforts, realizing a product that was an evolution of the "taste" that had been the demo " From Kingston to Rome ... "published in 2001.
And so the recordings will begin in April 2002, to be finalized in the summer months. There are 21 tracks, out of which 17 tracks will be selected to compose the final CD, "Shots from the ghetto!". The album features numerous original songs and coverings of classical pieces of Jamaican music history, from the Skatalites to Bob Marley, through traditional Jamaican songs.
Over the course of the following years, the band is dedicated almost exclusively to live activities that will bring them to more than 150 concerts throughout Italy and to divide the stage with artists such as Skatalites, Laurel Aitken, Derrick Morgan, Johnny Clarke, Skalariak , Trojan, Persian Jones, Soledad Brothers, Farenheit 451, Root Cement, Red House, Ramic, Gang, and others.
In 2008, finally, the new album titled "Spaghetti Skank!" Is featured, featuring 12 tracks recorded in the studio in summer / winter (...)
